Operation Graduation 2013: Breonna Tabb (Downers Grove, Ill.)
To be honest I wasn’t going to write an essay talking about Ombudsman but I realized being here at Ombudsman made me a better and brighter person. Willowbrook is a very great school. The teachers and staff taught me a lot. But coming to Ombudsman taught me so much more.
When I stepped into Ombudsman I thought everyone was weird, including Mr. Sepke, Mrs. Martiradonna and of course Mr. Nudd. I didn’t want to be here but I made a big mistake and ended up here. Trust me, I truly regret my mistake.
Mr. Nudd, Mr. Sepke and Mrs. Martirdonna were a big help and great role models. I’ve learned a lot from each one of you. Mr. Sepke taught me how to be better in math (one of my weaknesses) by showing me not to jump ahead but to go step by step.
Mrs. Martitdonna taught me how to be professional. The way she would go over my papers and correct them made my work look so much better. I learned how to write professional letters and resumes.
And as for Mr. Nudd, I took some great advice from him and wrote a letter to the manager at White Castle thanking her for taking time out to interview me and just giving me a chance. And of course I GOT THE JOB! So thank you Mr. Nudd.
I have my future planned out and what I want to study and be in life. When I graduate I plan on going to the College of DuPage for two years and then going to Grambling State University. I’m going to study criminology and psychology. My dream is to be one of the best crime scene investigators out there. I really want to travel to the FBI headquarters in Quantico, Virginia.
I’m going to make it. No matter what I’m not going to stop, I will keep going. And I thank Ombudsman for everything.
