Operation Graduation 2011 Essay: Tania Moreno (Tucson, Ariz.)
There comes a time in a person’s life, when he/she realizes that all of one’s choices and decisions lead to one’s future. As teenagers, we learn with each step we take, we grow from what we experience, no matter what the situation may be…good or bad. We also learn from those who influence us. The influences in our lives aren’t always good, but it’s up to oneself to decide what’s wrong from right.
We all make mistakes, but it’s those who learn from them that make a difference. Thanks to people who take the time to love us and teach us important things, we are who we are today; the morals that parents teach their children influence them each and every day. The love and patience that our loved ones demonstrate to us give us the support we need to acquire an education and live a good life. Although we are all different, we share one special moment the day when we take the first step to the rest of our lives, graduating from high school.
We have worked extremely hard to get here, but, deep down; we all know we couldn’t have done it without Ombudsman! The teachers gave us the confidence to look forward to graduating and reaching a point in our lives that will forever remain in our hearts. I thank my teachers at Ombudsman for their everlasting support. Graduation is the day we have all waited for! And, I couldn’t imagine a better way to cherish this memory than to let everyone know how proud I am to be an Ombudsman graduate!
