Operation Graduation 2010 Essay: Dakota Price, Marietta, Ga.

Date: June 29, 2010

My name is Dakota Price and I attended Ombudsman for the second semester of my senior year. While at my home school, I maintained a GPA above a 3.0 the entire time. However, during my junior year, my GPA began to drop.

When I decided to come to Ombudsman, I was admittedly skeptical at first. However, after spending almost an entire semester here, I have changed my thoughts about Ombudsman entirely. I have brought my abilities and knowledge to Ombudsman and throughout my semester spent here, I have been able to excel more than I ever imagined possible.

This alternative program has fit my style perfectly and has allowed me to move at my own pace. Learning at my own pace has allowed me to excel more than I ever thought possible at my public school.

Following my time spent here; I have big plans to attend Georgia State University where I hope to expand my knowledge even more. I will always appreciate what Ombudsman and the teachers here have done for me and believe that I am a better person because of my time spent here.

As I move toward a brighter future, I will always remember my past, and my wonderful experience at Ombudsman.
