Ombudsman Arizona Charter Launches Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow Academy
Ombudsman Arizona Alternative Charter High Schools are currently home to over 1,600 Arizona students looking to earn their high school diploma. Our seven schools across the state feature a blended learning model combining traditional teacher-led instruction with independently-paced, technology-rich curriculum.
As we continue to grow in our efforts to help Arizona’s disconnected youth obtain a high school diploma, Ombudsman is also committed to ensuring that our graduates are ready to take on the world beyond our classrooms.
To further these efforts, we are proud to announce the launch of our Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow Academy. The Academy features workshops designed to provide students with tools and resources needed to help them continue their education and become competitive in the workplace.
Participants who excel in the program receive a personal laptop to use as they work toward obtaining a high school diploma. For many students, this laptop is the only computer they have access to outside of school.
Our first Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow workshop, held in November, focused on recommended strategies and terminology to use when updating resumes and completing scholarship applications. As our students enter higher education or the workforce, we want to equip them with the knowledge to best showcase their skills and assets while seeking potential opportunities.
Families can check their school’s event calendar at www.ArizonaDiploma.com for workshop news and updates. For more information about Ombudsman Arizona Charter Schools’ Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow initiative, contact Associate Superintendent Michael Goto at firstname.lastname@example.org.
