Operation Greeting 2012: Supporting U.S. Troops
Ombudsman Educational Services is once again joining forces with sister division Spectrum Center Schools and Programs and the corporate office of Educational Services of America to show gratitude and support for U.S. troops who are away from their families during the holidays.
Students and staff are creating handmade greeting, get-well-soon, thank-you and holiday cards, which will be collected and sent to U.S. soldiers deployed around the world and to the Landstuhl Army Medical Center in Germany.
ESA’s Ombudsman division has been a supporter of Operation Band-Aid since 2009. In the last three years, Ombudsman and Spectrum Center students and staff have created and sent more than 8,000 greeting cards to U.S. troops serving overseas. This year, the goal is to collect enough cards to achieve our goal of 10,000 cards.
The partnership provides community service experience for our students, and more importantly, support for real American heroes – our U.S. service men and women.
