My Caddo Ombudsman Experience
Written by: Travontae Sabbath

“My time here at Ombudsman was awkward at first, but ended up being good. As I first entered here, I told myself I would not like this school, but I was told it was a really good school to finish up my work to graduate on time.  It’s up to the students to hustle hard to be able to move on.  A four hour school?  Who wouldn’t like to go there! I want to thank my wonderful teachers and center director, if it wasn’t for them, I probably would have left this program to get a GED, but they believed in me and motivated me to work hard.”

(This is an excerpt from an essay Travontae wrote in early February.  Since then, he recovered the credits needed to return to his district school and he is preparing to graduate with his class this Spring.)
