District Partner News: Aurora Public Schools Exceeds State CSAP Growth Median Again
Sharing some great news from Aurora Public Schools in Colorado:
Aurora Public Schools exceeded the overall state median Colorado Student Assessment Program (CSAP) growth percentile (50th percentile) in all three areas assessed for the third year in a row. Each student who has taken the CSAP for two consecutive years is also given a student growth percentile score by the Colorado Department of Education. The score compares each student’s performance to students in the same grade throughout Colorado, who had similar CSAP scores in past years. There are 21 tests that measure growth.
Ombudsman works with Aurora Public Schools by operating a dropout prevention program called Ombudsman Rebound.
Ombudsman Rebound teacher Jonathan DeSoto and graduate Erin Belcastro talk about the program after graduation in January 2010.
