Accreditation & Affiliations
Ombudsman is accredited by Cognia, the unified organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
Ombudsman’s accredited alternative programs help students remain focused, motivated and engaged in learning, with the goal of returning to their district school closer to or at grade level or graduating with a school district diploma. In some cases with the approval of the school district, students may graduate with an accredited Ombudsman diploma. Like a school district diploma, an accredited Ombudsman allows students to enroll in colleges, universities or vocational/technical training programs or join the armed services.
Ombudsman also operates dropout prevention and recovery programs at charter schools in Arizona. Charter schools are funded by the state, and students attend free of charge.
