I was having a lot of trouble back at my old school – hanging out with the wrong people, getting bad grades, and that sort of thing. My social problem turned into an education problem.

When I came here, all that changed. Ombudsman had high expectations and they laid it on the line. I started getting A’s and I finally saw the big picture. All the teachers gave me the individual attention I needed to succeed, and I finally started to feel good about myself.
I loved how everything was at your own pace and on your own computer. I could finally focus. Regular school was so long and draining and I would just block things out. Here, I could work on what I wanted to work on and it just fit really well. Now that I have my diploma, I’m going to college in the fall. That wouldn’t be happening if it weren’t for Ombudsman.
