Full-Time Enrollment

Ombudsman provides full-time alternative academic programs for students in grades 6 through 12. Initial academic assessments are administered to all students. When graduation requirements have been met, student may receive an eighth grade promotion or high school diploma.

Courses For Credit

High school students who desire or need additional course work and credit may, with approval of the school district, enroll at Ombudsman. Courses are offered in, but are not limited to, the areas of: English, Social Studies, Science, Math and various electives.

Academic Skill Development

Skill development for all grade levels begins with a careful diagnosis and evaluation of each student’s needs by a certified instructor. Through this program, with a low student/teacher ratio, students achieve academic gains.

Tutoring

Students in grades 3 through 12 receive one-on-one instruction in specific subject areas where they are experiencing patterns of failure and frustration. Assistance with day-to-day class assignments also may be provided. Each program is individualized to meet personal needs.

Summer Program

Instruction is offered in skill development, high school courses for credit and tutoring for students in grades 3 through 12. Summer enrichment programs are ideal to help students prepare for the next grade level or to reinforce skills acquired during the previous year.

Ombudsman Programs are approved and accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and Commission on International and TransRegional Accreditation (CITA).
